About Us

The Manchester Moose Family Center sponsors family activities, community service projects and sports programs, just to name a few.  While these activities offer each Moose member a valid reason to join, the main endeavors of the fraternity remain Mooseheart, the 1,000 - acre Illinois home and school for children in need, and Moosehaven, the 65-acre Florida retirement community for senior members in need.  These residents, entrusted to the care and support provided by membership in the Moose, are constant living reminders of the humanitarian efforts of Moose members.

Ever since 1888, our men and women have been proud to serve local communities and fellow members of the fraternity known as the Moose.

Why Join?

When you are a member, you will be able to use your Moose card at any Moose Lodge in the Country.  Currently there are 2,400 Lodges, in all 50 U.S. states and four Canadian provinces as well as Bermuda. Currently there are 154 lodges in the state of Virginia. 
 
With the large number of lodges comes huge numbers of potential clients. Are you in sales or do you own your own business? What a great, fun place to network while socializing or volunteering.
 
Members in good standing may rent the lodge banquet room and the outdoor pavilion for legitimate family functions: weddings, receptions, showers, birthdays, anniversaries and funeral dinners. We can also rent the lodge banquet room to other organizations whose mission is consistent with ours: The Red Cross, Lion’s Club, Rotary International, Ducks Unlimited, etc.
 
Some members use their memberships as a sort of “annual donation” to support the Lodge’s ongoing efforts though they don’t get a chance to participate or visit the lodge often.
